Dear reader…

The Art Stories newsletter is more letter than news.

The sun is beaming down bright and hot and red dust is hanging in the air, the ever-present earth covering the surrounding fields and everything that doesn’t grow taller than a few meters above ground. We are on our way to explore one of the biggest monuments humans ever built.

And I have one goal today: To capture this mystical place with my watercolors inside the small notebook I carry around for just that reason. Maybe we were a bit lucky sleeping in and starting late, for now, it’s high noon and hot - but also fewer visitors. When we arrive at the pool there is not a single other visitor. Freeway for me, so I take the fight against the sun and the heat - and start painting.

Expect to be taken away to far places and new cultures. Learn about painting and get motivated to pick up brushes and paper yourself. And of course, stay up to date as well.
